United 787 Smoke Event

United Airlines Dreamliner, N15969, as UA99, suffered smoke in the cockpit on the way from MEL to LAX yesterday.

The aircraft was safely diverted to Noumea.

Flight radar shows the flight time as 2 hours 28 minutes. As reported in THE CRASH OF MH370, most
'Smoke / Fire / Fumes' events happen within two hours of takeoff.

One of the most challenging emergencies. Great work by the crew.
